The Psalmist talks about God’s Word as a lamp for our feet and a light upon our path (Psalm 119:105). It’s a great image for making the way clear!

Our leaders need partners to help make the way clear as they seek to fulfill their responsibilities.

Its time the church figured out something that the business community ‘got’ a long time ago: we are much more successful with the right kind of partnership. In fact, some studies have indicated an increase of 600% in effectiveness!

Imagine ministry leaders following in the steps of someone who has made the journey already.

Imagine ministry leaders having someone who could help them process the challenges and develop the best plan of action.

Imagine ministry leaders having someone with specific skills who is will to help the leader develop those skills.

This is the stuff that moves the effectiveness of our leaders forward exponentially.

Respectively, the kinds of relationships are called:

  • Mentoring
  • Coaching
  • Apprenticing

Churches that are making great strides in leadership are discovering the value of these relationships.

What kinds of relational support do you offer your leaders?
